When should I use this?

Info
Key Logic: Promotional Pricing acts as the vital communication bridge between your EMS and Ecommerce platforms. It allows the online storefront to correctly fetch and override prices. If an item does not have this configuration enabled, the Ecommerce platform cannot add it to the digital basket, resulting in a system error.
Before you start
  1. Ensure you have Administrator or Manager level access credentials for EMS.
  2. Identify your specific Ecommerce system code (typically onejourney, RevSpa, or JourneyEcom).
Step-by-step

1. Navigate to Promotional Pricing
Log in to EMS as an Administrator or Manager. From the main menu, navigate to Promotional Pricing.

2. Select your Ecommerce channel
Look at the bottom table of the screen and locate your system code (onejourney, RevSpa, or JourneyEcom).
Click to select this code to ensure you are applying rules to the correct online storefront channel.

3. Select your online inventory
Click the checkbox for all items that are sold via your Ecommerce platform. This includes Appointments, Group Activities, Packages, Food and Drink, or Misc.
Idea
Best Practice: There are no negative impacts for ticking an item you do not sell online. We strictly recommend clicking the Select tick box in the top-left corner to select all items at once. This ensures no items are missed and speeds up the process.

4. Authorise the items

Click Confirm to apply the changes and link the selected items to your active Ecommerce code.

5. Verify package inclusions

If you are configuring a Spa Day or Experience, locate the core package item and tick it. You must then locate and tick every individual inclusion (e.g., the specific treatment, lunch item, or facility access) bundled within that package.
Idea
Best practice
New Product Workflow: When Journey initially implements your platform, this will be configured for all existing stock. Make it a habit to perform these steps every single time you create a brand-new item in EMS that you intend to sell online.
Promo Codes vs. Promotional Pricing: Remember that this backend setting is a structural requirement for communication between Premier and Ecommerce; it is completely separate from front-end marketing 'Promo Codes' given to guests.

Notes
Troubleshooting
Why am I getting a UEX000 error when booking?
If a guest sees the UEX000 error code on your storefront, or an item simply cannot be added to the online basket, it means the Promotional Pricing link is broken or missing. To fix this, log into EMS, follow the step-by-step guide above, ensure the specific item (and all of its inclusions) are ticked, and click Confirm.
