How to update package descriptions and online storefront details
How to amend items, treatments, and selection menus within a package
How to manage immediate or future-dated availability and booking limits
Use this guide when you need to adjust your existing bundles. This includes refreshing descriptions for your online storefront, updating prices, swapping out included treatments, or changing how many packages can be sold per day.
Key Logic: Any changes made to a package only affect new bookings. Any bookings already in the diary will retain the original pricing and item configuration they had at the time of booking.
Before amending a package, confirm:
Item Changes: If you are removing a treatment from a selection, ensure you have an appropriate replacement ready to maintain the value of the package.
Future Availability: If you are planning for a peak season (e.g. Christmas or Summer), determine your new booking limits before editing the Availability tab.
Click Settings in the navigation menu to open the Administration area.
Under the Experiences section, select Packages.
Locate and select the package you wish to edit from the list. Use the search bar or filters to narrow down your results.
On the main page, you can update the Name or the guest-facing Description.
Ensure your description remains detailed and enticing for the online storefront.
Click Save to confirm these basic changes.
Navigate to the Settings tab to manage the package lifecycle:
Online Visibility: Toggle Show Online to instantly add or remove the package from your website.
Date Range: Update the End Date if the package is being retired or extended.
Rules: Adjust the Max Guests or Hotel Code as required.
Click Save to confirm.
Use this tab to change what is included in the package and the associated price:
Remove Items: Click the red trash icon next to an item or selection to remove it.
Add Items: Click the relevant + Add button to insert new fixed items or guest selection menus.
Click Save to lock in the new package structure.
There are two ways to update how many packages you can sell:
Immediate Changes: Amend the existing availability pattern to apply new limits starting today.
Future-Dated Changes (Recommended): Click + Add Availability and enter a future start date. This allows you to set different limits (e.g. for a holiday period) in advance. The system will automatically switch to these new limits on the specified date.
Ensure you have clicked Save on each tab where changes were made. Your package is now updated for all future bookings.
Storefront Consistency: After making changes to a package name or description, check your online booking portal to ensure the formatting and details look correct for guests.
Phasing Out Packages: Instead of deleting a package that is no longer offered, set an End Date in the Settings tab. This preserves your historical financial data and reporting.
Availability Overlaps: When adding new availability patterns, ensure the start dates do not conflict in a way that accidentally closes off bookings.
