Description

The ability to discount green fees and additional items which can be added to a golf booking are configured and managed in "Promotional Pricing Structures".   Discount reasons can be configured to be a value or percentage off the list price or the ability to manually override the price, which are tracked base don user permissions.

The discount structure can be configured to be valid base don player type, the day of week and the specific course.

The audit and discount reports provide details of all discounts in a given period against the users profile.

Resolution


Promotional Pricing Structure are created and amended in "Administrator" or "Manager" via "Promotional Pricing".



Discount Options

The type of discount which can be applied to an item is controlled using the "Discount Type" this can either be a reduction on the list price of an item or the ability to manually change a price.


Discount Percentage - allows the user to define a percentage of discount off the list price of an item. 
Discount Value - allows the user to state the exact amount of discount to be applied to a specific item.
Manual Override - allows the user to manually enter the value to be changed.

Create New Promotional Prices

To create a new promotional pricing structure click onto the "Green Plus".
You will be presented with the option to either create a new pricing structure or copy the rules form an existing promotional structure.



Create New Prices - will create a blank promotion pricing structure.

Crete New Prices Based On Existing Prices - will create promotional pricing structure based on the rules of an exiting structure.  The structure can be selected from an existing  structure at your local site or based on the rules configured at another site.

Dates - enter a start and end date to define the valid period for the promotion, by leaving the end date blank will make the promotion permanently available.

On creation of the new pricing structure add a the details specific to the promotion


Start Date - commencement date 
End Date - closing date 
Code - discount reason code which is displayed in reception when adding a discount
Description -  discount reason displayed on reports
Promotion - selecting the promotion discount will separate the discount structure from non-promotion discounts, which is used when reporting on discounts given.
Security Override - will prompt for authorisation of discounts from a user with sufficient access rights which is configured in "Security Profiles".

Course Info


Golf Course - ability to select which golf course the discount is applied against
Players Type - ability to select which player types are included in the discount structure (Member, Guests, Visitors, Residents)
Valid On - ability to define which days the discount applies 

To add discounts to the structure
  1. Select the Golf Tab 
  2. Select the Golf Course
  3. Select the valid player types
  4. Select the days the discount is valid on
  5. Tick the items included in the structure
  6. Select the Discount Type
  7. Enter the percentage or value off the list price
  8. Select the "Confirm" button

Bulk Modify

The Bulk Modify provides the ability to update all items selected (ticked) on the Tab

  1. Select the items to be included in the structure by ticking each item or selecting the all tick box at the top of the column
  2. Select the discount type in the Bulk Modify
  3. Enter the discount amount
  4. Select the "Update All Selected" 
  5. Click the "Confirm" button
