🛠️ Process Overview
Promotional pricing structures are created and managed in Administrator or Manager under Promotional Pricing. Each structure contains:
- Valid date ranges
- Applicable player types and courses
- Discount methods (value, percentage, or manual override)
✅ Step-by-Step Instructions
Access Promotional Pricing
- Open Administrator or Manager
- Navigate to Promotional Pricing
- Click the Green Plus to create a new structure
- Create New Prices: Start fresh with a blank promotion
- Create New Prices Based on Existing Prices: Copy rules from another promotion (local or another site)
Define Promotion Details
- Start Date: When the promotion begins
- End Date: When the promotion ends (leave blank to make permanent)
- Code: Discount reason code shown at reception
- Description: Discount reason displayed in reports
- Promotion: Separates promotional discounts from standard discounts for reporting
- Security Override: Requires user authorisation (controlled via Security Profiles)
Configure Course & Player Rules
- Go to the Golf tab
- Select the Golf Course
- Choose applicable Player Types (Member, Guest, Visitor, Resident)
- Select the days of the week the discount applies
- Tick the items included
- Choose a Discount Type
- Discount Percentage (%) → Reduces the price by a set percentage
- Discount Value (£) Applies a fixed amount off the price
- Manual Override: Allows authorised staff to manually set the price
- Enter the discount details
- Click Confirm to save
Bulk Modify Discounts
To update multiple items at once:
- Tick the items (or use the “Select All” option)
- Choose the Discount Type
- Enter the discount value or percentage
- Click Update All Selected
- Select Confirm
🧠 Important Notes
- Discounts can be targeted per course, per player type, per day
- Audit and Discount Reports track all discounts by staff member
- Leaving the End Date blank will make the promotion ongoing
- Manual Override requires a Security Profile with sufficient permissions
