Premier - How to resolve 'No User Profile' error

⏱️ Estimated time: 5 minutes
👤 Role: System Administrators, IT Support, Site Managers

What you'll learn
  1. How to assign user profiles and permissions in User Manager to fix login issues.
  2. How to ensure the correct organisational email format is used for new logins.
  3. How clearing the browser cache resolves outdated PC Location data causing login errors.
When should I use this?
Use this guide when a newly created user account receives a "No User Profile" error when attempting to log in to PremierCore.
Info
Key Logic: The "No User Profile" error occurs when an account lacks explicit profile/permission assignments or holds stale browser session data (such as incorrect PC Locations). Correcting user site settings and refreshing cached login parameters restores account access.
Before you start
  1. Confirm you have administrator permissions to access and edit settings in User Manager, via Manager/Administrator.
  2. Ensure the user's account has been created in the system.
  3. Verify the user's assigned PC Location .
Step-by-step

Option A: Assigning User Profiles and Permissions
Step 1: Access User Manager in Premier
Log in to PremierCore and open Manager/Administrator

Step 2: Locate the user account
In Manager/Administrator > User Manager, search for and select the account experiencing the login issue.

Step 3: Update site details and permissions
Navigate to Site Details within the user's settings. Assign the appropriate user profile and set the necessary site permissions.

Step 4: Save changes
Confirm and save the updated profile configuration.
Alert
Important Notice: Unassigned profiles or missing site permissions account for the majority of "No User Profile" errors on new accounts.
Option B: Resolving Email and PC Location Issues
Step 1: Verify the login email domain
Ensure the user is entering their official organisational email address (e.g., using their @premier-core.com address generated upon account setup) rather than a personal or alternative email.

Step 2: Clear browser cache and session data

If the email address is correct but the error persists, clear the browser's stored data to remove outdated location data:
Google Chrome & Microsoft Edge: Navigate to browser settings, select Clear browsing data, set the time range to All time, check Cached images and files, and click Clear data.
Other Browsers: Access settings and clear temporary cache files for all time.

Step 3: Re-attempt login with correct PC Location
Have the user launch a new browser window, log in with their correct credentials, and select their designated PC Location from the options.
Notes
Troubleshooting

Why does the 'No User Profile' error appear even after assigning permissions?
If permissions are correctly set in Site Details, the user's browser is likely caching a previous failed login state or an incorrect PC Location. Ask the user to clear their browser cache completely and attempt to log in again.

What email address should new users use to log in?
Users must log in using the exact organisational email address generated during profile setup (such as @premier-core.com). Using any alternative email domain will trigger a profile error.
Idea
Best practice
Educate New Users: Provide clear onboarding guidance on using official email formats and selecting the correct PC Location during initial setup.
Clear Cache on Setup Changes: Advise users to clear browser cache whenever significant permission or location changes are applied to their profile.
