In this process, you’ll create and configure a PC Location in Premier. You will define its name, description, assigned till, stock rooms, printer setup, and other hardware/software configurations. Once completed, the PC Location is ready for use at the assigned workstation.

Configuring PC Locations

  1. Log into Administrator or Manager.
  2. Go to General Menu > PC Locations.
  3. Ensure the correct site is selected.
  4. Click the Green Plus button to create a new PCID

PC Details

  1. ID – Auto-populated after entering all relevant details.
  2. PC Name – Enter a name for the PC.
  3. Description – Enter a description relevant to the workstation.
  4. Till – Use the dropdown to select the till allocated to this PCID.
  5. Stock Room – Select the stock room for this PCID (if relevant).
  6. Stock Usage Default Stock Room – Assign default stock usage location.

Printer & Hardware Details

Printer Type Options:
  1. None – no printer allocated
  2. A4 – A4 printer for receipts
  3. Letter – Letter printer for receipts
  4. Receipt Printer – standard receipt printer
  5. Till Drawer – Select if allocated
  6. USB Till Drawer – Select if drawer uses USB and isn’t linked to a receipt printer
  7. Chip and Pin – Select if allocated
  8. Driver – Input printer driver details (Premier usually completes this during technical installation)
  9. Print Options – Choose either Always Print Receipt or Prompt to Print Receipt
  10. Tick Cutter if required
  11. Input the number of Copies
  12. Enhanced Receipt – Enable for logos or alternative languages (see site settings)

Postcode Software

  1. If applicable, select allocated postcode software (AFD or QAS) – usually configured during technical installation.
  2. Click the Green Tick to save changes.
  3. Press the Green Backwards arrow to return to the main Manager screen.
