🔍 Summary
Income Centres in Premier allow you to group product and service sales under a shared heading for financial reporting. For example, all facial treatments can be associated with an Income Centre labelled Facials. This ensures cleaner reporting and easier revenue tracking.
❓ Likely Scenario
- A new category of services or products needs to be reported separately
- Users are unsure which Income Centre Group to assign to an Income Centre
- Financial exports are not matching due to missing or incorrect Nominal Codes
🛠️ Process Overview
You’ll create a new Income Centre in Administrator or Manager, assign it to an existing Income Centre Group, and (optionally) link it to a Nominal Code for financial export alignment with your accounting system.
✅ Step-by-Step Instructions:
Creating an Income Centre
- Log into Administrator or Manager
- Go to Income Centres
- Click the Green Plus button
- Enter the Income Centre name in the Description box
- In the Group field, use the dropdown to select the appropriate Income Centre Group
- Note: Only one group can be assigned to an Income Centre
- Click the Green Tick to save
Assigning a Nominal Code (optional)
A Nominal Code can be entered for each Income Centre
This is primarily used in financial exports and should mirror the codes used in your accounting system
🧠 Important Note
- Every Income Centre must belong to an Income Centre Group
- Incorrect Nominal Codes may cause issues with external financial reporting or exports
