Once a voucher has been added to the basket on the Gifted storefront and the customer has progressed to the payment stage, they will be required to enter their payment details. If a customer enters an incorrect CVC or postcode the payment will fail. At this point, no money will be taken and no order will be created in Gifted (therefore, no order notification will be sent to the purchaser).
If an incorrect CVC is entered at checkout, the customer will see the error message that is shown in the image below.
If the postcode is entered incorrectly at checkout, the customer will see the error message that is shown within the image below.
Please note that the customer will see a temporary pending transaction within their bank statement. Please reassure your customer that no money has been or will be taken from their bank account and that this pending payment will disappear.
For the customer to receive their voucher, they will need to re-enter their payment details ensuring the correct information is entered.
