Gifted | Voucher Extender
What is the voucher extender?
Voucher extender is our great new feature that allows guests the opportunity to extend the expiry date of their voucher for a small fee.
How does it work?
- An email is sent to the recipient of the Gifted voucher when a unredeemed voucher enters its last 72 hours prior to expiry
- This email will provide a link for the guest to follow should they wish to extend the life of the voucher.
- This link will take the guest to your Gifted storefront where they are able to choose from the available extension options, an example is below:
Once the client has selected the extension duration, they will then complete their details and payment, which you will receive.
Will I know if my guests have extended their voucher?
Each guests' voucher extension is tracked within Gifted. You can access this data in our Reports functionality.
Can I customise the voucher extender emails?
Yes you can customise both the Voucher expiry reminder email and the Voucher extension confirmation email. Should you wish to this please send your customised email content to the support team at support@journey.travel.
Can I customise the voucher extender duration and costs?
Yes you can, the default settings have been created in line with data that shows guests are more likely to use this feature when they have more options. However the amount of options, durations and cost are customisable to reflect your business. Please contact Liz Reed at Liz@journey.travel should you wish to make any amendments to the default settings that can be seen below:
Are there any costs to us?
Yes, the cost to fulfil these extensions is £5 payable by the guest as part of the extension total payment amount. As an example, if a voucher is extended by 6 months at £50 , then the hotel receives £45
