From time to time it may become necessary to clear your browser cache. If Support asks you to do this follow these steps.
- Press Ctrl+F5 on your keyboard.
If you still see issues after this then clear cookies and cache then restart your browser. For help with any other browser, refer to your browser's help section.
To clear cookies and cache in Internet Explorer:
Go to Tools > Internet Options > In "General" tab click on 'Delete" button under the "Browsing History" section
OR press "CTRL + Shift + Delete" to open "Delete Browsing History"
Select "Preserve Favourites website data", "Temporary internet files and website files" and "Cookies and website data" and click on "Delete"
Click on "Apply"
Click on "OK"
Close the browser and open it again
To clear cookies and cache in Microsoft Edge
Open Microsoft Edge, select 'Menu' (3 dots icon in the top right corner of the browser)
Click on 'Settings' > 'Privacy & services'
Under 'Clear browsing data', select 'Choose what to clear'
Select the 'Cached images and files' and "Cookies and other site data" checkbox and then select "Clear"
Close the browser and open it again.
To clear cookies and cache in Firefox:
Go to History > Clear Recent History
On “Clear All History“ Pop-up, Select Time range to clear > Everything
Select “Browsing & Download History”, “Cookies”, “Cache” and “Offline Website Data”
Click on “Clear Now” button
Close the browser and open it again
To only clear cache for the Gifted site site in Chrome.
Open Gifted in your browser
On a Windows machine, right click anywhere on the page and click 'Inspect', or on a device using Mac OS press 'fn+F12'
This will then launch Dev Tools
Click on the 'Application' tab
Click on 'Storage' is selected by default.
On the right-hand side of the page, ensure that all checkboxes are ticked.
8. Close the browser and open it again
If this still hasn't worked:
Repeat steps 1-4 from above
Expand 'Cookies'
This will give you a list of the currently open URLs in your browser.
Right-click each of these and click 'Clear'
If this still hasn't worked try clearing all cookies and cache in Chrome:
Go To History > History > Clear browsing data
Select “Time range” as “All Time”
Select “Cookies and other site data” and “Cached images and files”
Click on “Clear Data” Button
Close the browser and open it again
To clear cookies and cache on an iPhone:
Open the Settings app and scroll down to Safari
In the Safari settings, scroll down and tap "Clear History and Website Data"
Tap "Clear History and Data"
To clear cookies and cache on an Android device:
Open your browser
Go to Menu > More > Settings or Menu > Settings > Privacy & Security. Chrome: Go to Menu > Settings > Privacy.
Tap Clear cache, Clear history, and Clear all cookie data as appropriate
