Gifted | Change a voucher's start date or Expiry Date

When should I use this?

Use this guide when a guest requests an extension on their voucher, or if an administrative error requires you to shift the voucher's validity period.


If you need to expire a voucher before its expiry date you can use this exact same process to set the expiry date to a day in the past (e.g., yesterday), which will instantly invalidate the voucher for redemption.


Before you start

  • Retrieve the unique voucher code or the purchaser's order reference number to speed up the search process.


Step-by-step

1. Log on to the Gifted platform

Navigate to your Gifted login page and enter your credentials to access the main system.


2. Access the Order

Click on your Dashboard from the main navigation menu, then select the Find an Order option.


3. Locate the specific order

Input the relevant details into the search fields, such as the Order Reference or the specific Voucher Code


4. Once in the Order detail

You will now see the specific voucher order details attached. Click on the Three Dots icon on the right-hand side to reveal the actions menu. 


5. Click update validity option


6. Select the new dates

A pop-up window will appear displaying both the current Start Date and Expiry Date for this voucher. Click on the date field you wish to amend to open the calendar picker, then select your new desired date.


7. Save your changes

Click the Update button to confirm the changes. The pop-up will close, and you will instantly see the refreshed, updated date reflected on the voucher record.


Best practice

  • Add an internal note: Whenever you alter financial validity dates, it is highly recommended to add a note to the order timeline explaining why the extension or early expiry was granted, for future audit purposes.
