Use this process whenever you want to bring your digital gift voucher storefront to life. Displaying video content on your Gifted homepage is an excellent way to showcase your property, highlight your brand story, capture the guest experience, or elevate seasonal marketing campaigns. This feature delivers an engaging first impression for visitors from the moment they arrive.



Step-by-step:

1. Verify your video URL requirements

Before submitting your request, you must check that your video link is correctly formatted. The Gifted platform requires a direct link to a hosted video asset rather than an embedded player link. Ensure your URL ends explicitly with the .mp4 file extension (for example, https://yourhotelwebsite.co.uk/assets/homepage-hero.mp4).

Important Notice: The platform does not host these files natively, and standard YouTube or Vimeo sharing links will not work. The hotel must provide the direct, raw asset URL. If your property needs a place to host files, popular options include Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, or your website's digital asset management system.

2. Submit your video asset request

Because this feature updates elements of your direct storefront experience, the implementation must be processed securely by the Journey team.

Prepare an email or a live chat message containing your direct .mp4 URL.


3. Contact support for deployment

If you need a hand getting this live, the Journey Support Team will be available via live chat on our support portal or at support@journey.travel.


The team will request for you to send over the verified video URL, and they will update your homepage settings to display the video beautifully within your custom Gifted layout.
