Ecommerce Platform | How to setup/sell facilities online

You may decide that you would like to offer customers the chance to book Spa and Leisure facilities online via ecommerce platform such as Swimming Pool, Tennis Courts, Water-Sport activities, or even Food and Beverage options like Afternoon Tea.

Initial configuration

You can offer facilities in ecommerce platform only to members, registered users or all users. Please let our support team know who you would like your facilities to be available on ecommerce platform and that you would like to start using this feature by emailing our support team at support@journey.travel. We can then update this for you and assist you with the initial setup.

To set up facilities on ecommerce platform, you must be on Premier version 2.12.3.0.162 and API version 1.1.2.0036. If you're unsure of the version you are currently on, please contact the Premier Support Team at 0800 988 2824 and they will be able to check for you.

Setup

To set this up, please ensure that any facilities you want to be sold online are ticked as web-bookable within Premier.

Once complete, run an import (please see article Ecommerce Platform | Imports) This import will pull these facilities through to ecommerce platform.

You can now set these live in ecommerce platform. This process is similar to the set-up required for Treatments and Spa Days.

  • Find the Facility you've created by going to the Products and Services menu on the left-hand side of the screen and clicking on Spa.

  • From the drop-down menu select facilities.

  • Find the facility that has been created and imported which you'd like to edit, and click on the 'Edit' button to the right.

  • Add in the description, image and display duration.

  • You will also need to check that the information pulled through from Premier is correct and that underneath the 'Facility Name' you can see the ID and name as this shows the facility has been imported from Premier.

When you're happy everything is setup correctly, tick "Published on the website" towards the bottom of the page and then click "Save Facility"

Content

Finally, you will want to set up your content for the Facilities landing page.

  • Select Content from the left-hand menu. This will generate a new menu, where you need to select 'Spa Facilities'.

  • You can then set the Hero Title, Hero Summary and upload a Hero background image.

  • Ensure that you click 'Save Content' after making any changes and that you check how these changes look live on your storefront.
