How to Setup a Featured Collection

⏱ Estimated time: 5 minutes

👤 Role: Marketing Managers, Content Editors

What you'll learn:

  • How to highlight specific product categories on your homepage.

  • The steps to configure a Featured Collection within the platform.

  • Understanding the limits and display logic for featured categories.

When should I use this?

Use this process to draw direct attention to specific areas of your business, such as "Seasonal Spa Days," "Signature Massages," or "Dining Experiences."

Key Logic:

A Featured Collection acts as a visual shortcut for guests. Instead of navigating through the full menu, guests are presented with high-interest categories directly on the homepage, significantly reducing the path to purchase for your most popular offerings.

Before you start:

  • Ensure your target categories (e.g., Massages, Facials, Dining) are already created and contain active products.

  • Ensure the categories you wish to feature have high-quality thumbnail images assigned, as these will be prominent on the storefront.

Step-by-step:

1. Navigate to the Homepage Editor

Featured Collections are managed as a component of your overall homepage layout.

  1. Log in to the Ecommerce platform.

  2. Under the Products & Service heading in the sidebar, click Content.

  3. Select Homepage from the sub-menu.

You can choose to highlight specific groups of products that represent your current business priorities.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the section titled Featured Categories.

  2. Click the drop-down menu to view your available categories.

  3. Select the categories you would like to feature (e.g., "All Spa Days" or "Gift Boxes").

  4. Important: You can select a maximum of 3 categories for this section.

3. Save and Verify

Once your selections are made, you must commit the changes to update the live storefront.

  1. Click the Save Section button (or Submit) at the bottom of the page.

  2. To verify the look, click View site in the top left-hand corner of the platform.

  3. Confirm that the images and titles for these categories appear correctly in the new homepage block.

Best practice:

Rotate Seasonally: Update your Featured Collection regularly. For example, feature "Outdoor Dining" in the summer and "Cosy Spa Retreats" in the winter to keep the storefront feeling fresh and relevant to the guest's current needs.

Important Notice:

  • Display Logic: You must have at least one category selected for this section to appear. If no categories are selected, the entire Featured Collection block will remain hidden from the storefront.

  • Flexibility: You can swap or change these three categories at any time to react to stock levels or specific marketing pushes.
