How to restrict storefront availability to adult guests only.
The process for requesting "Adult Only" activation.
Which modules (Rooms and Tables) are compatible with this setting.
Use this process if your property, or specific sections of your property, operates under an "Adult Only" policy. This is common for boutique hotels, specific spa retreats, or fine-dining outlets where the guest experience is tailored specifically for adults.
Key Logic:
By enabling this feature, the "Children" and "Infants" selectors are removed from the booking search bar. This prevents guests from inadvertently booking a room or table that cannot accommodate minors, reducing the need for manual cancellations or difficult conversations at check-in.
Confirm that your property policy officially restricts children.
Identify whether this restriction applies to Rooms, Tables, or both.
The "Adult Only" functionality is a structural setting that is managed at the configuration level. It cannot be toggled on or off manually within the standard storefront settings.
Contact the Support Team via live chat at support.journey.travel (recommended for the fastest response).
Alternatively, send an email to support@journey.travel.
Provide your Property Name and clearly state which modules require the restriction (e.g., "Please set our Rooms module to Adult Only").
The support team will update your property configuration and notify you once the change is live.
Once support confirms the update, you should verify the guest journey.
Open your live storefront.
Navigate to the Rooms or Tables search bar.
Confirm that the option to add "Children" or "Infants" has been removed from the guest selection menu.
Update Your Descriptions: While the system will technically block child bookings, it is a "Best Practice" to clearly state your Adult Only policy in your Room and Rate descriptions. This ensures guests are aware of the policy before they even attempt to search.
Global Module Setting: Once this is enabled for a module (e.g., Rooms), it applies to all bookings within that module. It is not currently possible to make some rooms "Adult Only" and others "Family Friendly" within the same module using this specific setting.
