You have complete control over your content and imagery and can edit this at any point from within the ecommerce platform dashboard. Follow the steps below to edit the different areas of content.
Log in to ecommerce platform
Under the Products and Service heading in the menu click on ‘Spa’ and then select either 'Treatments', 'Spa Days' or 'Extras'.
Click 'Edit' beside the spa item that you’d like to edit.
You can amend the description and name of the Spa Day, Treatment or Extra.
You can add to or update the name of the item in the 'Name' box.
You can add to or update the content of the description in the ‘Description’ box.
Note that formatting in the Description text box does not display formatting such as Bold and Italics.
You can update the image for this item within this section.
You can upload an image in one of two ways.
Option 1
Option 2
You can select the image you wish to upload from your desktop and drag and drop the image onto the 'Upload file' button and this will then upload the image.
If you’ve already uploaded an image and you’d like to change it, it’s just a case of clicking the red X located next to the image to remove it. Then follow the previous steps to upload a new one.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and ensure that the 'Published on the website' tickbox is ticked.
Now click on 'Save Spa Treatment'.
Please ensure that all of your spa items have an image uploaded and at least one line of content if not more. Leaving these blank will leave it blank on your storefront and won’t make for a great user experience.
The restaurant on ecommerce platform will be down to what you’ve got set up in Resdiary. If you only have one restaurant set up then only one will pull through to ecommerce platform, however, you can have multiple menus set up to appear. You’ll just need to make sure that they are visible for the ecommerce platform channel.
To edit the content for Tables you’ll need to:
Go into ‘Content’ and then click on ‘Tables’
You can add a title and a summary.
We recommend keeping the summary short as this will appear on the tables banner on the storefront as well as the tables page.
You can add an image which will appear on the homepage banner and as the hero image so you’ll need to find one which will look good on both.
Once you’re happy with your amendments click on the ‘Save Content’ button at the bottom page.
To edit the description for the restaurant itself, you’ll need to go into the left-hand side bar and select 'Tables', 'Restaurants', and select 'Edit' on the correct restaurant.
Click 'Edit' on the one you’d like to edit if you have more than one.
You can add the restaurant name along with a subtitle, description and its own image and menu PDFs. The description here can be longer and provide a summary of the restaurant itself or the menus they offer.
Please don’t change the ‘Resdiary restaurant’ as this is how it is linked to Resdiary and should already be correctly linked.
You can upload a number of menus - please make sure to update these if you ever offer seasonal menus too, or you’ve had a change in menus so the guest is aware.
Click on ‘Save Restaurant Config’ once you’ve made your changes.
Click ‘Products’ in the menu.
Click ‘Edit’ next to the product that you’d like to edit.
You can add slightly more information here as there is a ‘Summary description’ and a ‘Full description’ text box.
You may use the summary for a quick description of the product and the full description for a more detailed description, or perhaps ingredients if it is a skincare product.
When it comes to imagery, you can upload more than one to show off your product further.
Click the ‘Save Section’ button.
If you’d like to update the prices or have more than one size of the product, then you can edit this too by remaining on that product page and clicking ‘Options’ which is in the menu to the left.
All content and imagery related to rooms can only be edited/updated in the third-party booking engine e.g. Guestline. We pull through all descriptions, imagery and prices. The system does do an automatic refresh but we can always do a manual import if a quicker update is required.
The T&Cs are what the customer has to agree to when making their purchase, so it’s important that you include any kind of rules or information the customer needs to be aware of. You can update these at any point.
Go into ‘Content’ and then select the one you’d like to update.
Click ‘Save Content’ once you’ve finished with your updates.
