How to change the call to action buttons

⏱ Estimated time: 3 minutes
👤 Role: Marketing Teams, Administrators, Content Managers

What you'll learn:

  1. How to locate the navigation section within your ecommerce platform.
  2. How to update the text labels on your storefront call-to-action (CTA) buttons.
  3. How to ensure your changes are saved and updated live across your website.

When should I use this?

Use this guide when you want to change the labels of the main buttons on your storefront and side menu.

Key Logic:

This is useful if you want to rename "Rooms" to "Rooms and Suites" to better match your property, update "Spa Days" to "Wellness Packages", or align your buttons with a seasonal marketing campaign.

Before you start:

  1. Ensure you have administrative login credentials for your ecommerce platform.
  2. Decide on your new button text, keeping labels clear and concise so they fit cleanly on the storefront.

Step-by-step:

1. Navigate to your navigation settings

Access the content configuration area where your storefront buttons are managed.
  1. Log in to your ecommerce platform.
  2. Under the Products & Service heading, click Content and then select Navigation.

2. Update your button text labels

Locate and edit the specific call-to-action fields.
  1. Locate the text boxes for each call-to-action button (such as Rooms, Spa, or Events).
  2. Delete the existing text and type in your new button text as required.

3. Save and verify your changes

Apply the updates to your live storefront.
  1. Scroll to the absolute bottom of the page and click Submit to save your changes.
  2. Open your public storefront in a new tab or refresh the page to view your updated buttons and navigation text.

WarningImportant Notice: Updates made here will automatically apply to both the main storefront homepage buttons and the written text links in your side or top menu. You must click Submit before leaving the page, or your changes will be lost.

Best practice

  1. Keep Text Concise: Storefront buttons look best with short, direct wording. Avoid long phrases that might cause text to wrap awkwardly on mobile screens.
  2. Check the Side Menu: After changing a button label, always open your side menu on a mobile phone to ensure the new wording reads naturally and fits perfectly in the space.
