Ecommerce Platform | Guestline | How to create promotional rate codes

In Guestline, you’ll have the ability to create promotional rate codes, also referred to as ‘Rate Access Codes’. This will hide rate plans from the search results unless the code has been entered.

Important: The rate plan you’d like to hide needs to be created before you create the rate access code.

Once you've created the code in Guestline, you'll need to:

  • Login to ecommerce platform dashboard

  • Go into 'Rates'

  • Edit the rate which can only be accessed through the rate access code you've just created.

  • Enter the access code in the 'promo rate code' box and save.

  • Scroll down and mark the rate type as 'promo'.

  • Make sure visibility is left as public and it's also marked as published.

  • Click 'Save'

  • Test the promotional rate code on the front end of ecommerce platform by entering in the code.
