⏱️ Estimated time: 10 minutes
👤 Role: Revenue Manager, Hotel Administrator, Front Office Manager

What you'll learn
  1. How to expose rate plans in Guestline's Rezlynx PMS so they display on the Journey Ecommerce Platform.
  2. How to manage, describe, and enrich rates within the Guestline distribution channel.
  3. How to troubleshoot common import issues, such as retrieving missing rate codes from the deleted folder.
When should I use this?
Use this guide when you have created a new rate plan in Rezlynx PMS and need to map it so it is bookable on your Journey Ecommerce storefront. This guide also covers direct troubleshooting steps for when rate syncs fail to appear on the front end.
Notes
This directly answers the following common partner query:
Troubleshooting Question: "I have a new rate code which is not importing to Journey from Roomlynx. What should I do?"
Info
Key Logic: The Journey Ecommerce Platform communicates exclusively through the RoomlynxWS connection channel. If a rate plan is not explicitly exposed to this channel in Rezlynx, or if it has been accidentally deleted within the Ecommerce Platform itself, it will not synchronize, resulting in lost direct booking opportunities.
Before you start
  1. Ensure you have active administrator login credentials for both Guestline Rezlynx PMS and the Journey Ecommerce Platform.
  2. Verify that the new rate code has already been fully created and configured inside Rezlynx.
Step-by-step
Depending on whether you are mapping a rate for the first time or resolving an import error, follow the appropriate pathway below.

Option A: Mapping and Displaying New Rates

Step 1:
Expose the rate plan in Rezlynx PMS
Log in to your Rezlynx PMS and navigate to your rate configuration. Locate the specific rate you wish to sell online and tick the checkbox to "expose" the rate to Roomlynx.
Info
Key Logic: This step acts as a gatekeeper; if this box is not ticked, the rate remains private to your PMS and will not be sent to your distribution engine.
Step 2: Access the PMS Distribution section
Open the Distribution module within your PMS. You can access this via two locations in Rezlynx:
  1. The shortcut icon located in the top-right corner of the interface.
  2. The main PMS menu bar.
Step 3: Enrich your rate inside the Distribution Channel
In the distribution rate list, locate your newly exposed rate plan (rates that have not been exposed in Step 1 will not appear here). Click Edit on the rate to add customer-facing descriptions, select a primary rate image, and link any relevant room upsells or extras.
Info
Key Logic: Images must be uploaded to your media library separately before they can be assigned to your rate plans.
Step 4: Enable 'roomlynxWS' and save
Once your marketing details are populated, locate and tick the roomlynxWS checkbox. Click Save to commit your changes. Your rate will now actively sync and display on your Journey Ecommerce Platform storefront.

Option B: Troubleshooting Missing or Unimported Rate Codes

Step 1: Force a manual sync in Journey Ecommerce
If a mapped rate is not displaying, log in to the Journey Ecommerce Platform, navigate to the Rooms section, and click the Import button in the top-right corner to force a fresh synchronization with Roomlynx.

Step 2: Check the Deleted Rates section
If the rate (for example, code 'BAR_BB') still fails to import, it may have been accidentally deleted or archived in the Ecommerce Platform during previous configuration changes. If a rate is required to be restored,  the Journey Support Team is available via live chat on our support portal or at support@journey.travel. (Rates cannot be deleted or restored at site-level)

Idea
Best practice
  1. Sanitise Image File Names: When uploading images to Guestline, ensure file names contain no special characters, spaces, or punctuation, as this can break the image synchronisation to the storefront.
  2. Review Access Support Documentation: Access Group has updated the help centres. You can find detailed platform-specific mapping rules directly on the Access Customer Success Portal:
  3. Guestline Mapping Guide: Access Portal - RoomlynxWS Rate Plan Mapping
