You will first configure Association Types in Administrator and ensure reverse links are correctly paired. Then, you can allocate associations on the client record in Reception, linking clients together directly.

Configuring Association Types
- In Administrator, go to General Menu > Association Types
- On the Association Types screen
- Click the Green Plus button
- Enter a Description (e.g., Husband)
- Click the Green Tick to save
- Create the reverse association
- Click Create New
- Enter a Description (e.g., Wife)
- In Default Reverse Association, select the first association (e.g., Husband)
- Click the Green Tick to save
- Link the first association back
- Highlight the first association (e.g., Husband)
- Set Default Reverse Association to the second (e.g., Wife)
- Click the Green Tick to save
Allocating Association Types to Clients
- In Reception, click on Clients.
- Search for the client using surname
- If they exist, select from the list
- If not, create a new client record (after searching first)
- Highlight the correct client and click the Green Tick to open their Client Card
- Go to the Assoc. tab
- Click Add
- Select the Type of association (e.g., Husband)
- In Association, search for the related client using the magnifying glass icon
- Highlight the correct client and click the Green Tick
- Confirm the Reverse Association when prompted (e.g., Wife)
- Add notes if required and click the Green Tick
- The association will now appear in the Assoc. tab on both linked client records
